When you begin the registration process, you will be given the option of taking either the Basic or Advanced Course.

The Basic Defensive Driving Course is for those drivers who have never taken a Defensive Driving Course.

The Advanced/Refresher Defensive Driving Course is for those drivers who completed either the Basic or Advanced/Refresher Defensive Driving Course 3 years ago and need to take a course in order to renew their discount and 3-point credit.

This is a CD Rom based course.   Your CD will be mailed to you upon processing of your registration.   Fee for either course is $28.00 plus $4.00 shipping & handling.

PLEASE NOTE!   If it's been longer than 3 years since your last course completion, your insurance company may require you to repeat the Basic course.   Please contact them before continuing with your registration in order to determine which course you'll need to take.

DELAWARE REGULATIONS

Delaware Regulations require drivers who take an online course to show their driver's license before receiving their certificate.  For your convenience, we have established designated pick-up locations throughout the State of Delaware to choose from.

After completing the course, please wait 24 hours then call us at 302-654-7786 or 1-800-342-2287 with your choice of pick-up location (see below) and we will have your certificate faxed there for you to pick up.  Each student is required to show up in person and show their driver's license in order to get their certificate.  NO EXCEPTIONS

Please Note: These locations charge a $5 fee for this service, however, if you pick up your certificate at the Delaware Safety Council office, there is no fee.
